HOW TO BEGIN AN OBCMAI CHAPTER IN YOU COUNTY
You will need to have members. Ask your friends if they would like to get together and sing. It is required to have at least 20 members signed up to begin the Chapter.
Hold your first meeting at a central location, and vote in your officers. Officers would include
President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Membership Director
These officers must attend the meetings or you do not have a quorum.
Chapter Registration includes $125.00 to the Florida State OBCMAI office requesting that you become a Chapter, along with paperwork, which includes:
Copies of the membership applications
- Minutes of your meeting assigning your board members, names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses.
- A check for $125.00 to Florida OBCMAI
- You must open a bank account with the name OBCMAI UPPER NORTHWEST CHAPTER on your checks and account, with two signatures on signing checks. This is actually be done after the State Officers meet, and record the minutes of the meeting approving the Chapter. The bank will require the minutes for proof of establishment.
- Hold a meeting once a month, sending in your Chapter dues, which is $25.00 per month, and new member fees and a copy of your meeting minutes by the 15th of each month. The fees should be sent to the State office.
